The new, updated content on Video CDs (2000-2002) is an interactive, digital media, video format independent (i.e. don't worry about Pal or NTSC!) and can be played on multimedia PCs and MACs, FULL SCREEN (!) and even on multimedia UNIX and LINUX machines.
On PCs use a Media Player, on MACs use QuickTime version 4 or later (downloadable free multi-platform software from the Apple web-site, http://www.apple.com). Both of these drivers are available as part of the operating system, or freely downloadable from the web.
The color video quality of the digital Video CDs is excellent and can be played full screen on any reasonably fast multimedia Pentium II or later, or PowerMAC processors and 12X CD players, or faster, or from a multimedia laptop or PowerBook with a quality screen projector to the entire class, interactively! (Media Player is a Trademark of Microsoft Inc. and QuickTime, PowerBook and PowerMAC are trademarks of Apple Computers Inc.)
