The Hitachi-Seiki Advanced Manufacturing/ CNC and CIM Laboratory at
the University of East London (UK) in 1994/95. This laboratory
was developed by the faculty on the basis of a major donation by
Hitachi-Seiki and by the Ford Motor Company to the Department of
Manufacturing Engiuneering and Design and to the School of
Engineering. (The project leaders were the Dean of Engineering,
Professor Graham Harvey and the Head of Department, Professor Paul G.
Ranky).
